Sam Leccia is considered brain behind Nub cigars who was sales representative of Oliva, Sam collabarated with Oliva cigars to make this short fat cigars to capture true and actual essence of cigars where you don’t have to wait to get nice sweet flavours of cigars and can get at the very first puff.
Nub Connecticut has a smooth, light tan Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with very fine, subtle veins. The cold draw of the cigar contains the flavors of cream, cedar, and a hint of sweet grass.
The first third of the cigar is dominated by a smooth creaminess and notes of toasted nuts with a hint of buttery sweetness of the tobacco. As the second third progresses, the hint of butter sweetness evolves into mild cedar and light earthiness, while the creamy texture is still prominently present. The final third of the cigar is packed with a mellow nutty profile, flavors of coffee beans, light wood, and a little bit of a mild spice is still there on the finish.
However, the signature smooth, creamy sweetness of the tobacco stays throughout the cigar. Overall, it is a really nice, mild to medium-bodied cigar with a smooth burn, and it can hold ash thoroughly, as it is known as the “Nub stand”.
