La Galera cigars are produced by Tabacalera Palma, a well-known cigar brand from Dominican Republic established in 1936 by José Arnaldo Blanco II. This is one of the compnies which grow and process their own tobacco to make premium cigars at Tamboril, Dominican Republic.
La Galera Anemoi cigar lines was launched in 2019. The name is inspired from Greek mythology and Dominican republic’s cultivation technique. La Galera Anemoi contains Dark and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with prominient veins. The binder is grown on Jochy Blanco’s farm in Jacagua. While, a filler is a blend of Criollo ’98 and Piloto Cubano tobaccos, which are grown in the La Canela region of the Dominican Republic.
The cigar contains earthy and sweet and spicy like cinnamon notes in its cold draw. The cigar starts with creamy sweet notes with mild strength. It maintains the same notes and strength in first third. In starting of second draw, notes of pepepr, Dark chocolate and toasted nuts arises. Meanwhile, strength have been icreased now to medium bodied. Later in second third, notes of fruit and vegetal also adds on top of primary notes. In final third, cigar becomes medium to full body and dark chocolate and pepper notes is all over on pallet.
Overall, really nicely built cigar with medium to full bodied and amazing complex flavour profile. Another noteworthy thing is the transition that cigar goes thorugh in terms of strength and notes is commendable.
