Joya De Nicaragua is first Nicaraguan premium cigar make established in 1968. Clásico Original was the very first Nicaraguan puro exported from Nicaragua, and the only brand to have ever been officially recognized as the country’s national cigar. It is currently the best selling cigar for Joya de Nicaragua in the European market.
This Nicaraguan puro was introduced in 2009. It comes with dark brown shiny and oily wrapper with nice big veins. The wrapper and foot of cigar has somewhat sweet raisin and spice. The cigar starts with amazing strong notes of pepper. Later notes of cocoa and espresso comes into play in first third. CIgar is full bodied from very start. In second third, pepper notes becomes subtle but not intense while, sweet notes milk chocolate and honey developes. Morover, additional notes of wood and leather also joins the flavours. Final third starts off with its signature full bodied strength with notes of dark chocolate, coffee and spice.
Overall, cigar is nicely built where, there is not any compromise on bold flavours and strength of cigar. It becomes bit creamier for a while in second third which gives complexity to flavours of cigar. As this is stronger cigar so, stronger drinks such as, rum, whiskey and black coffee will pair perfectly with cigar.
