The Roberto P. Duran Baracoa was created as a great every day cigar. The RD Baracoa which represents the city of Roberto P. Duran family origin in Cuba (Baracoa) is made with the same quality and care of Roberto’s other cigar lines.
The Robert Duran Baracoa robusto is made of Ecuadorian habano Criollo wrapper. It has a rustic, reddish-brown oily sheen with some visible veins. The cigar starts with sharp cedar and red pepper spice. Not full fledged pepper flavours but, medium pepper with cedar notes. In the first third itself, pepper starts to settle and zesty citrus notes starts to emerge which balances woodiness and strong pepeprness of cigar. The cigar distinguish itself with its rivals in second third where spice fades and creaminess takes place with other notes of nuts and leather. As soon as the cigar enters in the final third, cigar contains the notes of dark chocolte and earthy.
Overall, this is a fantastic cigar with amazing complex flavour profile, probably the best in the same price range. A great cigar for an afternoon smoke, pairs nice rum or creamy coffee.
